Case-ready retail supplier Sea Star Seafood Corp., Marlborough, Mass., hired George Kouri as chief operating officer. Kouri will be responsible for improving global procurement, developing and introducing new products and expanding sales distribution. He formerly was chief executive officer and president of Avon Home Fashions, Inc., Braintree, Mass. Sea Star also hired Sandi Hughey as sales and marketing administrator. Sea Star Seafood markets products under its own Beacon Light brand and also supplies customized private label programs.
Refrigerated branded pizza supplier MaMa Rosa’s, LLC, Sidney, Ohio, hired Terry Fisher as the company’s new vice president of retail. Officials say Fisher has more than 30 years of food industry experience and developed and introduced more than 20 new product lines into national and regional markets during his career. He recently sold his New Mexico Pepperidge Farm distributorship after growing product sales from a zero base.
