Ripe for retail? IHOP breakfast line?

When it released its 2009 Survey of National Chain Restaurants, Zagat Survey LLC, New York, N.Y., last month named International House of Pancakes LLC (IHOP) as the "No. 1 Best Breakfast" among full-service chain restaurants. Interestingly enough, the chain's coffee also was voted No. 2 Best Coffee among full-service chains.
"Breakfast has long been recognized as the most important meal of the day and we are thrilled IHOP has been acknowledged as the best breakfast restaurant in the country by Zagat's esteemed voters," said Carolyn O'Keefe, IHOP's senior vice president of marketing.
IHOP is based in Glendale, Calif.
