Neil Brassell has been named vp of sales for Johanna Foods, Flemington, N.J. He has spent more than 25 years in consumer goods, with the past 13 of them in the dairy industry. Most recently he was vp of sales for the Penn Maid Dairy and Rosenberger's divisions of H.P. Hood LLC.
“Neil's experience and extensive knowledge of our customers will be a positive addition to our outstanding sales team,” said Robert A. Facchina, president and CEO of Johanna Foods. “He will be responsible for directing the sales team to continued growth of our current customer base and to develop and implement strategic sales plans to insure company goals are attained.”
Johanna Foods, privately operated since 1995, is one of the country’s largest producers and distributors of fruit juices, drinks and yogurt. Products include La Yogurt and Sabor Latino yogurt, Tree Ripe juices, Ssips and Sabor Latino drinks and nectars, and Ssips aseptic drink boxes. The company is also a leading private label and co-pack juice and yogurt producer, manufacturing products for numerous leading retailers and brands.
More than 500 employees staff the Johanna Foods complex, distributing its products internationally to consumers through supermarkets, warehouse club stores, convenience stores, wholesalers, dairy distributors, independent grocery stores and food service organizations. The Johanna Foods’ portfolio of branded products are distributed primarily on the East Coast, where they have leading market shares in the categories in which they compete.
Maintaining both Grade A and HACCP certifications, Johanna Foods is said to have the most modern and technologically advanced refrigerated juice processing plant in the United States.
